Julisa was born and raised in Yakima, WA. She is majoring in Elementary Education with an English Language Learners endorsement and is hoping to achieve her PhD in language and literacy after graduation. Her goal is to make education more culturally inclusive by bringing awareness to important topics which is why she wants to gain knowledge in different levels of education. Working with the High School Equivalency Program will help her gain more knowledge about higher education in Spanish and apply it to her future teachings. She is excited to work with students and help them continue their education!
